Happy New Year from Pagham-on-Sea

The Pagham-on-Sea Town Council wishes everyone a Happy New Year while expressing concern for campers affected by an incident at Unger Point. They urge safe swimming practices and promote upcoming events like the Ale Festival and Flower Show in May 2025. Visitors are advised to stay aware and look out for each other.

Happy New Year to all visitors and residents alike.

Our thoughts are with the unfortunate campers and their families who went for a New Year swim at Unger Point on 01 Jan. Please do not attempt to swim near the caves and rock pools. Keep all swims to the lighthouse area.

The town has some events coming up in 2025 – check the Events page to view them all. We’d all like better turn-outs than last year so please spread the word!

You will note that the Ale Festival is on the same May weekend as the Flower Show, and this is deliberate, to attract more people to the Festival. We trust the Flower Show will have its usual high turnout and positive, family-friendly atmosphere.

We do ask that if attending any events, or visiting the town outside of planned events, visitors maintain awareness of their surroundings, and keep an eye on each other if you come in a group.

All the best for 2025,

Pagham-on-Sea Town Council
